Energy for Living Your Dreams

If you learn and use the methods I am about to teach you, you will avoid feeling broken, burned out, tired, stressed, and depressed all of the time. And instead you will feel strong, vibrant, joyful and energetic. You can then use that new energy to make more money and enjoy more time with the people who matter most.

By using these techniques, you will notice that you have more peace, more joy, and you are more productive than you’ve been in years. Plus, you feel better too!  This one shift in your thinking will not only help you to dream again, it is likely to help you live longer AND feel good enough to enjoy those dreams. If you can commit to these steps for the next 30 days, your energy levels will double or triple!!

Studies indicate that physical activity, adequate hydration, and healthy eating habits directly affect one’s cognitive abilities. In other words, what we eat and drink and whether or not we choose to eat life giving foods or boxed “non-food” foods directly affects our ability to think. Our ability to think directly affects our ability to use our imagination and dream new dreams for our life. Our thinking also has a direct impact on our mood, which also has a negative impact on our ability to find meaning and purpose.

A recent study published in the Journal of Psychological Science indicates that having a purpose in life adds years to your lifespan. This isn’t the first time this result has been found. This study, however, not only shows that purpose and meaning equates to longer living, but it was indicated across the life span. Meaning, no matter how old a person is when purpose is discovered, discovering a direction and setting goals can have a positive impact on mortality.

In short, our health affects our ability to dream and aspire, our dreams and aspirations (our purpose) affects our health. It is a catch-22. In order to enjoy one, you must enjoy both or ultimately you will not have either.

We all know that we should eat well, exercise regularly, and drink adequate amounts of water each and every day. If you aren’t doing those things, now is a good time to start adding them to your daily routine. But, there are other, perhaps lesser known steps, that will quickly take your health to the next level.

  1. Take responsibility for your health. The age of doctors telling you what to do as you blindly go along with it are coming to an end… well, they are for those of us who want to escape the box in which experts want everyone to be treated. You are no longer an individual in our health care system. Unless—you make the decision to be the leader of your health care team, and act accordingly.
  2. Surround yourself with like-minded individuals. If you want to learn to be a public speaker, you start taking speaking classes. You join the local Toastmasters club. You become Facebook friends with other speakers. You surround yourself with like-minded individuals so that you can advance in that area of your life. Health is the same way. Surround yourself with others who are taking care of their health too. Make a friend at the gym. Take cooking classes and connect with others who want to learn healthy eating. Subscribe to a favorite fitness instructor or diet educator on YouTube. Surround yourself with others who have a desire to be healthy.
  3. Be educated. Now that you are responsible for your health, make it your mission to know everything you can about you, your body, your mind, and your spirit. What works for you and what doesn’t? Why? Why are you on that medication? What does it do? What side effects are there? Is there another way? What alternative treatments are available? Know everything you can about what is being done to you and why.
  4. See your doctor/schedule all routine visits. Hopefully, your doctor is a member of your health care team and not your dictator. If not, fire him/her and find someone who wants to work with you to determine what is best for you, not boss you around. Then, get all those routine visits scheduled.
  5. Don’t forget your mind and your spirit. Your mental health and spiritual health are important factors in your overall health. Include all of the above for these areas also. Commit to being in charge of your mental health and your spiritual health, educate yourself on things that affect these areas, surround yourself with like-minded believers, and seek the help of a specialist when needed (this includes your pastor, priest, or rabbi). As a member of Baycare’s Faith Community Nursing program, I can tell you that modern medicine has recognized that spiritual health plays an important role in achieving overall physical health. Don’t neglect your spirit.

6. PQQ. This new “vitamin” is considered to be a next generation antioxidant which can be up to 5,000 times more potent than vitamin C. It has neuroprotective and anti-aging properties. Most significantly, it can generate new cellular mitochondria (which is the energy maker at the cellular level). I have been using it for months now and I am very impressed with it. I will write more about it as I have more experience and learn more. In the meantime, be sure to read what you can about this important new supplement and be sure to consult your doctor before starting this or any new regimen.
